Hotel Strand Continental London Reviews

Dismal place! - This is an establishment that can't make up its mind if it's a hotel or a hostel - my guess is very much the latter. Shabby, neglected, tired are a few of the adjectives that spring to mind. Paper thin walls, banging doors, no plug in the sink, no light over the wash basin, no teabags, milk or sugar, no tv or even radio. Bathrooms were adequate but one toilet had no flush button and the other had no light. Reception looks like a mad professor's office. Cheap yes, cheerful NO!

Very happy with the hotel - Lovely hotel. I stayed in a double room which was ideal - large, clean and very cheap!

Great Hotel - Had a fantastic stay here! Location was ideal - walking distance to all London's theatres, landmarks, restaurants and nightlife.

Very impressed by the hotel as well. Great value for money, considering the hotel is in central London. I stayed in a single room which was very clean and spacious with lots of light. The night porter was very friendly and helpful, and loved the hotel bar and restaurant! Will be coming here again.

Not Recommended - For the price this has to be one of the worst hotels in London.

The reception area is very tired with missing tiles on the floor and is very unclean: This should have sent up the warning flag.

The bedroom sheets didn't match and looked like they were 20 years old and had been purchased from a jumble sale.

The wooden toilet seat was splintered and in the splinters were remains of toilet tissue, it didn't look like this had been cleaned for a good while.

Also in the hotel is an Indian restaurant, this has very old formica tables and old stained chairs, it has the feel of a 1970's working mans club, however, doesn't hold a drinks license.

Go to this hotel at your peril.
