A real Pub in W14 - No frills. No modern gimmicks [i.e. No juke box, no background music, no games machines, no pool tables].
Very well-kept draught beer [London Pride is the house ale]with enough of a selection for most. Drinkable, fairly-priced wines by the glass are readily available.
The unadvertised sandwiches are excellent as is the house recipe for Mary.
The small-but-perfectly-formed garden is a delightful sun-trap at appropriate times of the year. The washrooms are clean with, as one might expect, highly polished brightwork.
The management is mature, experienced and possessed of a rare sense of humour. 03-07-08
