Vanilla Hair & Beauty London Reviews

WARNING!!! - I had bought a one hour detox full-body wrap and a one hour facial voucher with Lavender at Vanilla Hair and Beauty. I tried to make an appointment for weeks, but unfortunately my calls were not returned and my emails remained unanswered. As I had already paid and the voucher had an expiry date I went in person to Vanilla Hair and Beauty to make an appointment. After all I managed to get an appointment. On 26th November at 1.45pm I arrived there for my appointment. As usually beauty salons ask for arriving 15 minutes earlier to fill consultation form I arrived 15 minutes early. The door was shut, I had to ring the bell. A lady who opened the door asked in an unfriendly way what I wanted and when I told her that I had an appointment at 2pm she complaint that I was too early. She did not introduce herself, therefore I am not able to tell her name. Also she did not ask to fill a consultation form which usually all the beauty salons do with their first clients and she did not give a brief explanation about the treatment. She put something very quickly on my body, wrapped it up, and started with facial. She put in a very fast way a cleanser on my face, wiped it up, put peeling very quickly, wiped it up, put a mask and left the room. The whole facial procedure took her only 5 minutes, in total she was with me in the room 10 minutes (on the voucher it was saying one hour facial and one hour detox body wrap). After 20 minutes she came back to unwrap the foil from my body. As she was unwrapping I noticed that my skin had totally absorbed the gel which should not be the case in a detox full-body wrap. Usually in a detox full-body wrap- algae, seaweed, mud or clay are used which needs to be washed out after wrapping. When I asked her what she put she said she put seaweed. I knew she had lied because I already had seaweed full-body wrap which was slightly easier to take off than mud but still water was required. When she left the room for me to get dressed I switched on the light to full power (the room was quite dark when I had entered). What I saw was shocking. It was not hygienic, they put a few known products only as a decoration and the products she used was cheap products some of them which you can buy at pound shops. The gel she used as a body detox was not seaweed as she said, it was the cheapest Aloe Vera gel moisturiser saying includes seaweed, something which you can buy in pond-shops as well. I was very patient until that moment, but when I saw the products I went to her and complaint. Even more shocking when I complaint was her saying that I got it cheaper anyway through the voucher. When I said having a promotion does not mean you can fake and cheat she replied saying in a very rude way “what do you want I only earn £15 per hour”. I never experienced something like that in my life, instead excusing herself she was justifying the faking and cheating with the money she was earning. The service I had there was not just poor it was beyond acceptance. After that my face was so burning that I had to wash out immediately. The products she used were not products suitable for Beauty salon.
